Widths:
The widths of our current necktie selection is generally 3.75 inches wide at the
widest part of the necktie. This width is considered the business
standard in office wear as well as evening wear. Some designers
produce their ties a bit slimmer - if tie width is important to you,
please ask us and we will be more than happy to check.
Lengths:
Regular length is defined as 56 to
58 inches in total length from tip to tip depending on the cut and the
manufacturer. If you are uncertain that the size we carry is what
you are generally accustomed to, you can measure your favorite necktie
to compare to the size we stock. Generally, unless you
specifically purchase extra long neckties or buy them from a big and
tall shop, our neckties will fit appropriately. There are other
consideration however that one should be cognizant of and that is the
true physical proportions. A tall gentleman may actually have a
short torso, or an average sized gentleman might have a muscular
neck. To be certain, measuring your favorite or best fitting
necktie is usually best before ordering.
Our
free dress socks offer is one of the most innovative and successful
offers we have. One pair of dress socks is enclosed with every
order. Our dress socks are high quality designer socks and we will
generally attempt to match the color of the dress socks according to the
selection of the neckties whenever possible. These beautiful accessories
carry a retail value of about nine dollars and are a wonderful way for
us to show each and every client our most sincere appreciation for your
patronage.
All our products come
individually gift boxed. We take great pride in preparing your
shipment. We have quite a few pet peeves, and receiving a beautiful
necktie in an envelope is certainly high on that list. While other
retailers will simply slip the neckties into an envelope, we ensure that
each wonderful necktie arrives in crisp condition ready to be worn.
Simple
and no restrictions.
We offer free shipping on all domestic orders which total $100
dollars or more, and that is before any applicable coupon discounts are
considered. This offer is one of the most appreciated services we
render as it does not preclude a client from qualifying for any
additional discounts or free dress socks.
Because we do not believe in the common practice of allowing a client to
order and pay for a product that is not in stock, we have a strict
policy of not making an item orderable unless we have it in stock.
In the rare occasion that the same item is simultaneously ordered by two
different clients, we will always notify the client and allow for the
cancellation of the product or entire order.
Cant seem to order
the quantity needed?
Our system automatically defaults to the real time availability of a
product. This default changes the quantity of the items ordered to
the number available. As an example, if you are trying to order 5
of the same necktie and we only have 3 in stock, your order form will
default to 3. If this quantity is not suitable for your needs,
simply take it out of your shopping basket.
Regrettably, most items out of stock cannot be re-ordered as these styles
are typically ordered months in advance.
We have
partnered with the Unites Stated Postal Service to provide an incredible
value in standard shipping.
Utilizing Priority Mail, most orders within the continental U.S. arrive
within 2-3 days. All orders, regardless of the number of items, are charged a flat
shipping fee of only $3.99 with no incremental postage. Our
clients can take advantage of this low rate by ordering multiple items
and still only pay a low fee of only $3.99.
Orders
over $100 dollars are always shipped free unless the client specifically
specifies express shipping.
We reserve the right to amend
your order to require a signature confirmation. This will ensure that your
shipment arrives timely and does not get lost or stolen.
Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen shipments.
All orders arrive gift boxed and enclosed in a protective shipping box
to ensure your item arrives beautifully wrinkle free.
Unlike most other boutiques, we do not believe in shipping your products
in an unprotected envelope via First Class Mail, we will leave that to
our competitors. First Class Mail generally arrives in 5 to 7
business days. Our USPS Priority Shipping method has been proven to
provide unparalleled safety, timeliness & security and all shipments
arrive in a box which protects your purchase instead of an envelope. Our clients
often express their appreciation for the care we take in shipping their
purchases.
Much like domestic shipping, we have partnered with the United Stated
Postal Service to provide an incredible value for international shipping.
All orders are shipped via
USPS Global Express Mail and you will receive a tracking number to
accurately follow your package to the final delivery address. Utilizing Global
Express Mail, most orders arrive within 5 - 9 days
depending on distance and individual country customs procedures.
All orders, regardless of the number of items, are charged a flat
shipping fee.
Canadian orders are charged a flat $18.99 USD
Worldwide orders are charged a flat $24.99 USD
Customs and duties are paid by the client.
All items entering a foreign country are subject to customs inspection
and the assessment of duties and taxes in accordance with that country's
national laws. Customs duties and taxes are assessed, generally,
if the merchandise is dutiable and the value of the item is above the
threshold set by the country's laws. If duties and taxes are
assessed on an item, they are collected from the recipient. In
addition, for most countries, there could be an administrative fee that
is collected from the recipient to cover the costs of clearing the item
through customs and collecting duties and taxes.

Given the many procedures and sizes of various business mail rooms, we
recommend you provide as much information as possible to be printed on
your shipping label to ensure it arrives timely and right to your
desk. Unfortunately, because of the complexities in delivering to
commercial offices, you will be ultimately responsible for locating your
shipment once it is delivered to your organization. Packages, once
delivered to a business address are not eligible for refunds due to
loss, misplacement or theft.
Given our past experiences, you would be well advised to familiarize
yourself with your own internal procedures in order not to delay the
delivery of your purchases.

shipment.
Returns are accepted on products we receive within 30
days of the original purchase date. There is a
two dollars and fifty cent restocking charge for each item returned.
Returns received
after 30 days will incur a charge of eleven dollars and ninety nine
cents per order. We do not accept returns beyond 90 days. Please ensure that the merchandise is
neatly packaged in the original packaging. Unfortunately, returns that
arrive wrinkled, damaged or dirty will be charged a ten dollar
processing fee for each item that does not arrive in store bought
condition. Purchases that received a free pair of dress socks will
be charged three dollars and ninety five cents if not returned with orders
that are returned in full. BoardroomTies.com does not reimburse shipping and
handling fees, and the cost of shipping is the responsibility of the
client. We strongly recommend shipping your return with
insurance.
For orders that received free shipping based on a minimum purchase, if
the returned value of the item reduces the total cost of the order to an
amount less than the free shipping offer amount, a charge of the current
standard shipping fee will be deducted from the credit.
At
BoardroomTies.com you will always receive a refund credit back to the
original account. We do not believe in issuing a store credit as
we feel that practice is unethical.
Credits for
returns are issued within 24 hours of receipt of your return and you
will receive an e-mail alert once the credit has been processed.
Gift wrapping is a
nominal $3.00 and includes a small gift card with a message. Gift
wrap is generally season appropriate utilizing primary colors of navy
blue or red with a contrasting white ribbon which we have found to be more
elegant of a color choice for a man's gift.
Our
pricing policy is simple. We shop.
We spend a lot of time shopping online and visiting boutiques, specialty
stores, and department stores. We pay special attention to what
the manufacturers of neckties say their neckties should retail for, and
then we test. At times, what we are told the retail price should
be, is not always what we find. If we find that a particular brand
is either marked up, or marked down from the retail price that we were
told, we change our retail price. This process ensures us that we
do not over-inflate the retail price.
As an authorized retailer of the brands we carry, our price is determined by the savings we are able to obtain when we
order inventory and by what the manufacturer allows. We always pass all our savings onto our
clients. This policy not only keeps us very competitive - but
ensures that our clients are always able to obtain the most recent
styles, designs and colors for less than what they would generally pay.
If, on occasion, you notice that our advertised retail price has either
fluctuated up or down, you know we have been shopping.
We believe that when you shop online - you should be assured that the
prices you are viewing are realistic rather than over inflated to make
your savings look greater.
Our
neckties end up at some of the most wonderful places on earth.
Whether you are responsible for a large wedding party, a conference, a
restaurant or office staff, a choir, a team meeting and yes - even an
embassy, we can provide you with the neckties you will need to make the
best appearance possible.
In order to ensure that we can meet your requirements, all we ask is
that we receive at least 30 days lead time. This lead time allows
us to negotiate the best price for you and pass along a discount off our
published prices to you.
Additionally, since we leave nothing to chance, we inspect each and
every necktie and then - individually box each tie for you to give.
And lastly - shipping is free, usually via United Parcel Service, US
Priority Mail or FedEx.
