Men - How to Dress for a White Tie Affair

If you have been invited to a white affair then you must know upfront that a white tie affair is the most formal of all affairs typically utilized by consulate and presidential type events.

Now, don't let this scare you because a white tie affair, while very, very formal simply means that the look you select needs to be just right.

For men, a white tie affair mean that you must wear a tuxedo, a jacket with tails, a tuxedo shirt with a traditional winged collar, white satin bow tie, white vest and tuxedo slacks with a satin side stripe.

For women, only long evening gown-type dresses will do.
